100+ Living Health Centres: Helping People Stay Active for the Life Ahead

A local clinic, the people behind it, and the everyday things that make life meaningful.

At 100+ Living Health Centres in Kelowna, our name reflects a question worth asking: “What do you want your life to look like as you grow older?”

For some people, the answer includes hiking and travelling. For others, it means getting down on the floor with their grandchildren, enjoying their garden, or getting out of bed and through a workday comfortably. Whatever that looks like for you, we want to help you keep doing the things that make life meaningful.

I’m Dr. Graham Jenkins, although most of my patients know me as Dr. J. After more than three decades in chiropractic practice, I founded 100+ Living Health Centres to help people take an active role in their health and maintain their independence as they age.

How 100+ Living began

Over the years, I’ve become increasingly interested in how our posture, spinal health, and movement affect our ability to stay active. Pain often brings someone through our doors, but the conversation usually goes further. What has become difficult? What have you stopped doing? What would you like to get back to?

Those questions helped shape 100+ Living. We want people to understand their health, improve their physical function, and develop habits that support the life they want to lead.

My wife, Jan Jenkins, has played an essential role in developing the clinic. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and brings more than 30 years of nursing and management experience. Her healthcare background, practical knowledge, and care for people help support both our patients and our team.

Feeling heard from the first visit

When someone visits us for the first time, we want them to feel welcome, heard, and comfortable asking questions. Visiting a new healthcare provider can feel intimidating, especially when you have been struggling with a problem for some time. We begin by listening to your concerns, your previous experiences, and what matters most to you.

We also want you to understand the reasons behind our recommendations. As we work through your assessment and discuss the findings, our goal is to explain what we have found, what your options are, and how a proposed care plan relates to your goals. You should feel informed and involved in those decisions.

Care shaped around the person

Our chiropractic team includes Dr. Heinrich Henstock and me. We focus on spinal health, posture, mobility, and physical function through individualized chiropractic care and rehabilitation.

Our approach begins with your health history, examination findings, current abilities, and personal goals. Depending on your needs, recommendations may include chiropractic adjustments, customized exercises, spinal traction, and movement or balance training. We also assess and provide individualized care for people with conditions such as scoliosis and spondylolisthesis.

Understanding the approach

I have earned Advanced Certification in Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP), an approach that emphasizes detailed assessment of spinal alignment and posture alongside corrective rehabilitation. My additional training includes three-dimensional spinal assessment and traction, as well as neuromuscular re-education. In everyday terms, this involves exercises and movement strategies designed to help your body practise and maintain improved postural patterns.

We take time to explain what these approaches involve, why we are recommending them, and how we will assess your progress.

The people make the difference

Building a local business has taught me how much the people around you shape the experience you provide. The space, equipment, and systems all take considerable planning. But patients also remember how they were greeted, whether someone listened, and whether their questions were answered.

Building 100+ Living has reinforced the value of a caring, dependable team. It has also reminded us to keep listening. Our patients offer valuable feedback about how we can make their experience clearer, easier, and more welcoming.

“Being part of a local community means those relationships grow over time.”

Growing with the Okanagan community

Being part of a local community means those relationships grow over time. We appreciate the trust people place in us when they choose us for their care. When they recommend us to a friend or family member, that means a great deal.

Our hope is to help make the Okanagan a place where more people remain active, independent, and connected as they grow older. That starts with the people we meet and care for every day.
